Who We Are
The Active Lifestyles Seniors’ Centre Grey-Bruce (ALSC) was founded in in 2010 and started life as the Owen Sound and Area Seniors’ Centre. It was provincially incorporated in 2012 as a not-for-profit organization, is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and relies on the generous donation of time by many volunteers.
We believe that community collaboration and a spirit of cooperation is vital to provide accessible and affordable programs and activities that encourage healthy lifestyles.
Active Lifestyles Seniors’ Centre Grey-Bruce is a not-for-profit incorporated organization that provides leadership, socialization, programs, and activities that support healthy lifestyles and independence of 55 plus adults.
We value being a seniors’ centre of excellence with a solid funding base that delivers diverse programs and activities by engaging volunteers and community partners to meet the needs of the 55+ population.
What We Do
Activities at the Active Lifestyles Seniors’ Centre (ALSC) reflect the members’ changing interests. We are always looking for new ideas.
Over the years, some activities have had strong interest by members, including Bridge, Pepper, arts & crafts, computer tutoring, snooker/billiards, shuffle board, luncheons and bus trips. Workshops on a range of topics are also popular. Check out our Activities and Groups page for a list of all of our activities and more information on them!
If we don’t have activities that meet your needs, let’s chat and see what we can start!
